About Us

Clean Green Nepal Campaign is initiated by the students of  Kathmandu College of Management, with a view to promote eco-friendly society. Youth from different colleges in different cities are also active in this campaign and they are playing significant role to promote the vision of Clean Green Nepal Campaign.

Why Clean Green Nepal Campaign?

We need to begin to build “green cities” that do not have a negative impact on our planet. Currently, over 90 million tons of carbon dioxide is put into the atmosphere each day globally. This has accumulated 387 ppm of CO2 in our atmosphere.

We need to bring it down to 350 ppm. A good example of what can and need to be done by planting trees. Which will help us to move towards an environment sustainable economy. 

“It may be a small thing to plant one tree, but it’s an easily do-able thing, so it would be a shame to not do it.” – Anil Chitrakar.

There is no best time to plant trees. So, let’s start switching to green.

Objectives :

Ideas are what give solutions to our problems. And right now there is no greater problem surfacing around than our environmental issues. So, the objectives of this campaign are:

Ø Switching to green cities.

Ø Moving towards an environmentally sustainable society through local measures.

Ø Asking students and youth to share with us their ideas that could economically and socially do away with our environmental problems.

     

Ø Introducing fourth R-Refuse together with Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for an eco-friendly lifestyle to promote environmental balance.

Ø The project aims at practically executing the social responsibility of citizens and business houses towards environmentally sustainable development.

Ø To act as an opportunity for the people involved in the project in discovering the ground reality and needs of the country’s development process. Similarly, it can also help us learn different aspect of partial execution of plans on paper.

Vision

Every youth must realize and internalize the fact that seven billion people only have one planet. So, we need to take care of our planet by taking steps towards its preservation and protection of plant. And we do not have additional planet like earth where we can shift by making more money.

Clean Green Nepal does refer to planting trees. It refers more to a switching towards “green cities” and encourage students and youth to “go green” by organizing different kinds of activities and research work.

Mission

Our mission is to organize the events in different cities of Nepal to encourage and inspire youth and student towards tree plantation and go green.
